Starting off Sweet!

I'm finally in my new kitchen, the baby is sleeping and I have time to make my first post! Most of the items I will use for my recipes are Tupperware brand. I will include the item # and a link to purchase these.
Who doesn't need Tupperware? Effective March 2010, all Tupperware is BPA free and it has a lifetime warranty. Let me be your Tupperware consultant and your source for delicious recipes (both holiday and not).
I have had a bit of a sweet tooth lately and very little time to grab an actual meal. I have begun buying items that I can grab a handful of or eat quickly, so I can continue with my day. I always make Puppy Chow in double or triple batches. It's great for snacking, parties and giving away with the rest of your Christmas cookies (those recipes to follow soon!)

Puppy Chow
Difficulty Level: Easy/Kid Friendly
Time: 15 minutes
Yields: 6 cups
Items needed:

  • Thatsa Mega Bowl (perfect large mixing bowl) - item # 0715
  • Measuring Spoons (all the sizes you need, even 1/2 tablespoon!) - item # 0711
  • Measuring Cups (all the sizes you could need) - item # 0710
  • Silicone Spatula (one piece, so food doesn't get left in the handle) - item # 1270
  • Plastic Scoops (only available thru Tupperware consultant)
  • 4 cup glass liquid measuring cup (rhymes with shmyrex) - available at Target, Walmart, Meijer
Ingredients
6 cups rice square cereal (rhymes with shmex)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (I use the kind with honey in it)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts (optional, but adds more flavor and texture)

Steps
1) Using Tupperware measuring cups, pour rice square cereal into Thatsa bowl.
2) Pour chocolate chips into glass measuring cup and microwave 4 minutes on power level 1 until melted. Be sure to stir every few minutes once they start melting. (Burned chocolate chips DO NOT taste good!)
3) Once chocolate chips are melted, add peanut butter and peanuts to glass measuring cup.
4) Stir until thoroughly mixed.
5) Use Silicone Spatula to gently combine peanut butter/chocolate mixture with rice square cereal.
6) Measure powdered sugar and put in Thatsa Bowl. Place lid on top of bowl and shake.
7) Remove lid and eat, divide into bags or add Plastic Scoop to serve.

Store in Thatsa Bowl with the lid tightly sealed.
